the other day boyfriend picked me up from school and we went to a park that is between both our homes. he took some lego to take pictures; you know, his hobby. and they turned out really good. I am so proud of him and am happy that he has a loyal community that supports him. he deserves it.
we got to the park and found a small opening between trees and bushes and ventured in. it was a whole other section of the park. a quiet one far from people. one where we could have a picnic an afternoon, or bring a telescope and a blanket and look at the stars and the moon at night and not be bothered.
we might actually do that someday :) for now, he took pictures and I laid down on the fresh-cut grass and danced and explored. it was like we were not even in our town anymore.
the other day I stumbled upon this picture of the first time my boyfriend and I went to our local farmer’s market. it made me miss it and want to go. all of the food and the fun him and I had –that was a good day!
then last saturday I woke up at 9 am randomly, like something told me to wake up. I look at my phone and it has a notification saying “farmer’s market today!” so I had to tell david and an hour later we were on our way. oh how he spoils me even when he’s half asleep! <3
boyfriend had many taquitos, I had a corn and a lemon paleta. happy, happy campers! :)
so we passed by a floor full of chalk drawings and i mean…how could we say no!?
I took my minolta with me and shot some photos of this day + the buildings around us. I would gladly share them..but I’m a very lazy human that hasn’t developed that film yet, sorry, hah! david took his lego star wars minifigures and shot several pictures too! (you can follow him on instagram here!)
ok, I don’t know how this is gonna sound, but you know don’t know how happy it made me to see that someone made and sold natural deodorants in my hometown (and in such a cute packaging!). in case you’re interested: it works, it smells good, you can make your own by following recipes online, and best of all: it’s not bad for your body. yay!
oh, and that orange mason jar is a carrot cake for my grandma! it smelled soo good!
the sky looked so pretty that day. we just had to go on the rooftop again.
I love local events. I’m glad David likes them too.
well, until next time friends :) thanks for stopping by!
I hate that I can’t sit down peacefully and write you my adventures as I would like. ugh. school.
anyway, here are some updates on my life because I know you really wanna know and because I feel the need to write, even if it’s very little.
I got a job as a lab manager for a research in my uni (!!)
my birthday is monday the 13th.
napoleon’s birthday is saturday the 18th.
I discovered my piggies are big watermelon fans.
I just ate a hash brown and a croissant. (beautiful breakfast).
* big as in tom hanks BIG, the 1988 film, carnival scene where he makes the wish to zoltar. (haven’t seen the movie? what?! you must!)
we’ve been saying for years that the next time the carnival comes, we’ll go and get a corndog. that has not happened until it finally did last week :D! no corndog though. i didn’t crave it at the moment. i regret it now :(
we only got on two rides cuz the lines were too long and david and i don’t have patience for that. also we were super hungry and just wanted to eat and not throw up in a ride, haha.
foot-long hot dogs ended up being our dinner:
we passed by a stand that had birds and bunnies (as prices, we supposed) (i know, it’s horrible, don’t even get me started cuz i’ll cry of anger). we loved that little white bunny, though. he looked like he had no worries in the world. happy fella! sorry we couldn’t rescue you, boy :( …
little things i saw i wanted to take home:
I LOVE merry-go-rounds! not riding them, but looking at them. their details, and colors, and lights. everything!
we decided to go home to sleep. but on our way, we started talking, woke up a little more, then passed by walmart and i got the urge to go purchase things i swore i needed haha. it ended up being a star wars lego run as both of us got one.
mine: a mini millennium falcon!
david: thank you for waiting for me while i took pictures and for buying me lemonade. i love you. and sorry i dropped your stormtrooper’s helmet under a stranger’s car. my bad :( you’re a good sport!
i really like legos but never had any as a kid. i was always curious and would admire other people’s work, but i never asked my parents for a set. don’t know why.. now that i’m in my twenties i’m sort of getting into them thanks to my boyfriend, David. (he has an Instagram account dedicated to legos. you can check it out here).
the other day i found four lego sets that belonged to my little sister. three were opened and one was brand new. a little statue of liberty was later found inside a box, too.
i started building two and they turned out to be such cute sets!
my favorite one:
the café shop
the next morning, david came over and together we built the one that was unopened. it turned out to be this little ranch with stables. then he built the statue of liberty and a performing stage for legos.
this is how it turned out:
the horse stables
^ an aerial shot of the property :p ^
If you liked this post, stay tuned because soon we will be building more legos!
